My birthday! Part Deux.

The day after my birthday I was surprised with boat trip on the Welike to Lummi Island. We beached the boat on Lummi for dinner at the Willow Inn. There was a wonderful sunset.







Later, and there are no pictures of this, we were all surprised by multiple systems failure on the boat. Thank goodness for the coast guard.

A back yard birthday party for my coworker on a lovely August evening.

Another trip to Fragrance lake

Another trip to Fragrance lake for Henry-the-dog and me. He is such a good swimmer these days, we both spent a long time in the water before being throughly sated.



Also, he put up with me taking dozens of selfies of us.

Our bedroom faces east and this sleeping mask has already seen a lot of use in its first few days.

farewell dinner

We had a send off dinner before Colin and Mary left. I stayed up too late and drank too much. But isn't that what family is for?

A Seattle visit

In real time Colin and Mary left yesterday, but in blogging terms I'm still catching up with a load of pictures, like this day trip we took to Seattle.

A walk in the rain

The forecast said 72 and partly cloudy, so we walked to Fairhaven. We were a mile into our walk when it started to pour, but we survived our walk in the rain.

Olympic peninsula

We just got back from the Olympic peninsula, and never mind about the view...

...we had a really good time at the pub.
