10 year high school reunion

I went to my 10 year high school reunion this weekend. It was tons of fun. I've always thought ours was a particularly lovely class, and it was really grand seeing everyone who was there. I missed those who weren't.

Some of us have become parents.

Some of us remain children.

Out of the frying pan...

Linton's last day of school was Wednesday, and today (Friday) he's back in the classroom with 32 students for an all day, three week summer session. Well, having Thursday off certainly rocked, but it wasn't quite a summer break!

Birthday part two

Will the birthday posts ever end? Maybe; maybe not.

Happy birthday, Linton!

What's this? Chocolaty dishes? Could there be cake?

Follow the balloons and find out!

You better bring your knife along, just in case.

Cake! You found cake! Happy birthday, Linton. I love you!!!

Tasties

Inspired by cousin Andy, this has been on my to-try list for over a year. However, I found the recipe completely intimidating. Homemade ginger ale, followed by instructions to macerate fruit to make a consomme - what does it all mean?? But recently I got over it and took my bad self to the kitchen. Holy Toledo it was so worth it.

After having the little cocktail around for just a day it has been dubbed a 'tasty'. You've got to try this thing; go make some for yourself. Better yet come over to my house and save yourself the trouble.

Crumble, or is it crisp?

What do you say when you bake fruit topped with oats, sugar, flour, and butter: crumble or crisp? In either case I was baking one and found myself enjoying some of my kitchen things. What a nice yellow!

Dates

We have lots of dates, mostly they are for no particular reason. It's a wonderful thing about Linton: he's always game for going out to eat. We are becoming regulars at the Brewery.

Music at the Muse

The Muse is so lovely, and the signage is great.

North Sound Brewing

We had never been to North Sound Brewing, so had to try a sampler of beers. My favorite was the imperial IPA, yummy. After we went home and both took a two hour nap - very soporific beers.

More post party pictures

The morning after Lo's bachelorette party we wandered around the Olympic Sculpture Park, lounging in patches of warm green grass peppered with public art. Kind of a nice place to nurse a hangover.

Laurel's Bachelorette party

Because I didn't take my camera out with us on the night, I only have before pictures...

And after pictures...

We had such a fun night out. We saw a show, went for drinks where Laurel arm wrestled us all into submission, and danced (I'd link to the dancing too, but at that point I have no idea where we were).
