Spring break

La Push, WA: sandcastles were made, stones were thrown into water, waves were challenged to splash us if they dared. Novels were consumed and I played my first ever game of magic the gathering. A very nice spring break, indeed.

Happy first day of spring, all!

Wagon... it's the only way to travel

I'm pulling the kids up the hill back home. It is super heavy and I'm all out of breath. Max keeps trying to get my attention - finally we're at the top of the hill and I turn around to hear what he has to say, "Aunt Marty, on Christmas morning when everyone was cooking breakfast I peeked into the Christmas room and saw the wagons!"

Mild winter, kale galore.

Welcome, babies.

This is the picture I've shared on facebook. Someone else took it, but I don't have one of my own as every time I go visit I completely forget to take pictures. I'm too busy elbowing other people out of the way so I can hold gorgeous little bundles. Welcome babies. Rannoch has the fair hair and Aunie has the dark hair.

Belly envy

Having an auntie pregnant with twins will give you a wicked case of belly envy. Good thing you are two and know how to rock your own faux preggo self.

Sewing projects.

I've been working on some sewing projects this year: interior curtains upstairs and down, and this little skirt for Rhona from Linton's old work shirt. What a fun little person to sew for.

Illuminight

We made paper lanterns last night, and so did lots of other people. It was a free city sponsored event.

Waiting for our walk to start.

All of us walking our creations by the river. This here town grows on me more and more.

There was that one time...

And then there was that time I didn't put anything on the blog for several months, but we have been doing fun stuff. And occasionally I take pictures.

There was the time we went on farm tours and Rhona got to ride on the fattest donkey I've ever seen.

There was the time two of my favorite people mowed the lawn together.

And there was that time at the zoo.

And there has been some time knitting.

There was the time we got a Christmas tree and this is, possibly, the only picture I have of it.

There was that one time with the smoothie. Who am I trying to kid ?- every time with a smoothie...

Then there was the day I asked my child if she wanted to pick out my outfit. Yup, wore that all day!

And there have been a lot of days with Max.

So there it is in a nutshell. Some pictures of some things over the past few months.
