We went to the Denver Roller Dolls rally this Saturday, and it was fun. It was more of a sport and less of a brawl than I expected. Though there was plenty of good action. They even run on their front breaks, amazing! To say nothing of the costumes, I mean uniforms, and hilarious names like Doris Clobbersaurus (verging on theater is my kind of sport). Thanks for the write-up! We actually practice running on our toe stops to pick up speed at the start.
ReplyDeleteOne of our newest skaters, Double Easy (she's an Electrical Engineer - Double "E"s), just transferred from the Silicon Valley Roller Girls, where they don't use even HAVE toe stops! So she runs a little different than the rest of us :)
