Fillings

My winning lidocaine smile.

Our neighbors at night

Tank Girl, the board game.

This board game came as a freebee in Linton’s most recent comic magazine. How much fun is that? Linton's hand painted models made fantastic playing pieces.

Tulip festival

The other morning Linton said, “Marty, get your camera – come on!” Our first tulip had finally bloomed. Ahhhhhhhhh spring.

Icy cold

It was getting up to 80 degrees here on Thursday, so Henry got a giant ice cube. I had crushed a bunch of extra ice for margaritas weeks ago, and put it in a tub where it became one enormous block of ice. Henry loved it.

ipod

Thanks to Linton’s job I have heath insurance. (For the first time in 7 years – yikes!) So I went to the dentist the other day, and as you might imagine after 7 years without a dental cleaning, I have 4 cavities. Double yikes! So, next week I’m going to get them drilled and filled, and here is my consolation prize…an 8 gig refurbished gold ipod nano to drown out the sound of the drill. Ahhhhhh.

Big treat

Henry always gets a big treat when we go off to work, but the way he has started taking them look like he’s smoking a big old cigar.

Glad we are renting...

I really love this goofy old house, but the rate at which it needs propping up I'm glad we are renting.

Coconut macaroons

Coconut macaroons are what tiggers like best.

I adore how my baking pans show that they have been used and loved. I felt like a bit of a faker with such a pristine set of cooking accoutrement. They look better now.

Doggy swap

To board Henry here costs about 30 bucks a night. Clever Linton found a way around it. Meet the Futrell's and their pooches, Zuse the German Shepard, and Rocky the Beagle.

Hanging out the laundry

It is really nice to not use the dryer. I'm not used to this. No hanging laundry out to dry in wet Washington ... it reminds me of my summer in Scotland.

Saturday Drive

We took a drive on yesterday up to Nederland. I had heard of it, but hadn't realized what an artistic little community it is tucked up in the hills. We saw about 15 white people rocking dreadlocks in half an hour, the co-op was busier than the supermarket; it felt a little like Bolinas in the mountains.

We left Nederland on the peak to peak highway, getting out to have an explore on the St. Vrain river.

Finally ending in Lyons we stopped at Oskar Blues, a restaurant and brewery. Linton had an Old Chub Scottish Ale, and I had Mammas Little Yellow Pills. Yum.

When we came out of the restaurant we found a couple dining outside with their puppy, a Henry look-a-like called Demi. Naturally, they had to meet. You can see how scared the puppy was, so Linton got Henry to lie down. Still Demi was terrified.
