Friday we got out and enjoyed the sun and snow. Henry by bounding and Linton by pretending to stab himself with icicles ... like you do!

Thursday's storm
We had over a foot of snow on Thursday. Linton and I both worked from home, sharing the computer and keeping cozy. This was the white out around 11:30am!
I only ventured out to let the dog go for a wee. How adventurous!
The compost bin is chilly. Check out the mini drift around the bin.
And The hat finally had a chance to keep my head dry.

Cinderella
Linton and I went to Washington to see the opening of Scott & Fran's Cinderella, a magnificent show. My favorite part of the weekend was Saturday when we all sat on the porch and went from tea to popsicles to mimosas over hours of socializing. It was the time in our weekend vacation that I let go of reality and let myself believe the moment would last forever.

It's all Andy's fault.
It is all my cousin-in-law Andy's fault that I've started bringing my camera into the kitchen. I had never thought of it before, but it's a perfect setting to capture the heart of a house. Or at least its stomach.
These are my all time favorite kitchen item. Form and function meet perfectly in hard plastic nesting bowls. They make food look beautiful.
I'm off to make dinner now, and because it's Monday and I'm pooped cooking involves a frozen pizza and tofu that was prepped Sunday.

I just had a hankering
We got these margarita glasses for our wedding and until a few days ago they’d only been used for ice cream. Now, I don’t know what brings on a hankering for margaritas, but I had one a few days ago. I headed down to Union Jack Liquors for tequila and mixer. Using my cocktail shaker, which gets woefully little use, I whipped up a couple of margaritas. Linton even got in the spirit of taking pictures for the blog – thanks, honey! Now there is oodles of tequila and margarita mix in the house. Who knows when we’ll get another margarita hankering, but when we do we are equipped. And next time they’re getting blended.
