Gardeny me

I had Tuesday off work, so I slapped on an old hand-me-down shirt from Aunie (maternal g'ma) and took her sweet soul outside with me to play in the dirt. Step one: hardware store (I am a McDade after all) for garbage can, bulbs and buckets. Step two, make a compost bin out of a garbage can.



I never have to throw out vegetable scraps again, something that has been driving me CRAZY here.

Step three turn pails into planting pots by stabbing holes in their bottoms: metal pails because they were cheaper than the planting pots, just as cute, and I have a leatherman that can stab holes into pails (thank you Amanda).




Step four wait four to eight weeks for compost and all the way until summer for my Iris bulbs to bloom!
